Below is a list of answers to questions you may have about the wedding. If your question is not answered here, feel free to give us a call or text us!
Communication
Most of you have shared your travel plans with the bride and groom. However, since we will all be in the same place at different times, we thought it made sense for us to communicate over Whatsapp while in Scotland.
We will be inviting you all to join a Whatsapp group for consistent communication. If you do not have the app on your device, you can download it for free here.

Food
Each apartment at Eliean Donan Apartments will contain basic groceries for your stay (eggs, bread, milk, snacks etc.). For those of us who will be arriving on July 13, we can grab a bite to eat at the Clachan for dinner. For a list of local grocery stores and restaurants, click here.
Attractions
This beautiful place in Scotland requires a taste for the simpler things. Breathtaking scenery and gorgeous hiking trails are what make this place so special. Having said that, activities are limited. For a list of local attractions, click here.

Who's Invited?
We have invited you because we think you're awesome! We are keeping this wedding small so we are inviting only close family and friends. A final guest list will be available closer to the day. We expect between 25 and 35 people. Please note that we understand that a trip to Scotland may not be in the cards for you. We get it! There is absolutely no pressure for anyone to attend. We will be hosting a facebook live event for the ceremony and looking to share ceremony photos on facebook for those who are not able to join us in Scotland.
The ceremony will be held at 6:00pm at Eilean Donan Castle.
Can I bring the Kids?
Absolutely! Ava will be in attendance and we have already heard from some people that they will be bringing their kids. We will be looking into childcare for the day of the wedding for those that are involved in the ceremony.
We also intend to have a fun night out for adults on Thursday, July 13. For that night, we will be arranging childcare for those comfortable.
Ceremony & Reception
The ceremony starts a approximately 6pm at Eilean Donan Castle. We have not yet decided if the ceremony will be indoors or outdoors (so please bring a sweater just in case).
Transportation to and from the apartments and the castle will be provided via a Mercedes Sprinter. We will need to take the vehicle in shifts - more information will be available when you arrive in Scotland.
There will be a full reception with dinner, open bar, and dancing on the evening of the wedding, the location will be in a marquee outside of the Eilean Donan Apartments and across from Eilean Donan Castle. Once the ceremony is complete, we will stay at the castle for photos before heading back to the apartments and marquee. This should take no more than an hour. Dinner will be served around 8pm Scotland time.
Don't forget your dancing shoes!
Airport, Arrival/Departure Times
We will be arriving in Inverness Scotland on July 12, spend the night and will drive from there to Dornie on the 13 to Eilean Donan Apartments. We are asking that people in the wedding party arrive as soon as they can on the 13th. Please connect with us personally about your travel arrangements.
There are a number of different ways to get to the venue. There are a few options for flights. One way is to fly to Heathrow and take a connecting flight to Inverness, then drive to Dornie from there. We will be flying to Gatwick, driving to Heathrow, getting a flight from Heathrow to Inverness. You can also fly to Heathrow and then to Edinburgh and drive from there to Dornie. Note: It is about a 4 hour drive from Edinborough. We will be driving out to Dornie on the 13th.

A deposit has been made to hold the apartments for the nights of the 14, 15, and 16. The bride and groom will be staying from the 13 onward and we are pleased to cover the cost of accommodation for the night of the wedding. Please connect with us directly to select your apartment preference and to let us know if you will be there on the 13 as well. To view apartments, please click here. Everyone has now been assigned an apartment for the duration of your stay. Each apartment has a kitchenette and laundry facilities. Someone from the venue will follow up with you to settle your account.
